I happened to have a bad processor on my Dual 2.0 G5 a while back and everytime I reviewed the crash log after a KP, it mentioned the airport and the networking family. I ran hardware test after hardware test and they came up clean. I finally brought it to an Apple store and they told me a processor must have died or the logic board was dying (after bringing it to a so-called Certfied Apple Specialist and they told me it was a software issue...but that's another story). They replaced the bad processor and all was good.
My advice - hardware issues aren't easily fixable at home, bring it to an apple store if you're still in warranty or have applecare.

byteSizeOfElement is wrong. Your code will only work (if all other bugs are fixed) with 64 bit code, not with 32 bit code.
Care to explain why?
Having little faith in the user (mainly me) to actually release the pointer, I already decided to get the value by passing a reference.

To be honest, I'd probably get more excited over any optics that Nokia will bring to WP7.
A friend of mine is unfortunate enough to own an N8 but boy is the camera good on it. :)
Nokia has always made quality hardware, but as the Smartphone started to change to what we know now, It was sorely let down by Symbian.

It's impossible to do with the Native software. You could install rEFIt (http://refit.sourceforge.net/doc/)though and do this. It's an advanced task though.

I'm not necessarily waiting for Lion to come pre-installed, just waiting to see what Apple announces at WWDC.
And I'm not waiting for it to actually be installed in the iMac itself. I prefer the drop-in DVD.

I've been waiting for a change to the iBook line-up for a few months, which I know is kind of too soon...but the addition of a 12" DVD model isn't what I was waiting for... I guess it is cool for people to have options, but I was hoping for some better specs.

I have already tried moving files in and out of FileVault and creating empty disk images and deleting them but nothing has brought the optimization dialog back when I log out.
I do have a backup of my data (it's about two weeks old). It's on an external harddrive in Iceland (I'm on vacation in Germany now) and just a mirror of the disk before I turned FileVault on. I do not want to lose all the changes I made during the last two weeks, though - and I also can't clear the external harddrive for a new backup, since I had to delete many huge files on the Powerbook in order to turn FileVault on in the first place.
I also had to move my entire iTunes folder to my iPod - leaving me all without music (I deleted it on my Mac and cleaned my iPod before I manually copied the Music folder). I copied a few songs back from my iPod to my PB, though.
I hate FileVault.

Can anybody give me a rss feed/email/link or any other means to watch the MWSF keynote 08 spoiler-free. Something that gets me straight to quicktime stream.

How fast is the drive? That may be one of the problems, especially if you're connecting it via usb because USB data is sent in beeps, like this --------- if that makes sense, whereas USB 3.0 and firewire flow constantly.

feeling the same way, forgot to mention that I also have a Iphone 4 along with the Ipad 2 and MBP. I love this MBP plus the company bought it. I guess i could sell the Ipad 2 and buy the new imac for home..Not sure, I guess a good problem to have. Again, just curious what others thought.

Have 2 video cards to choose from and an ATA controller if needed?
ATI Mac Edition 7000 PCI - $40
ATI Mac Edition 9200 PCI - $80
ACARD ATA133 6280M Boxed PCI - $50
Both mint and tested (receipt for warranty available as well I believe but would have to dig through files).

And West Farms technically is in Farmington, not West Hartford. I know it gets confusing- West Hartford, Farmington, and New Britain. Kinda like that blur of Simsbury, Canton, and Avon.
Yeah, it does get a bit confusing at times. There's parts of the mall that's in Farmington & West Hartford. It's kinda like my college. It's in West Hartford, Bloomfield & Hartford all at the same time :p

Another warranty related point. Seagate offers 5 year warranties, Hitachi offers 3 years. What do the others offer for retail drives?
Samsung gives 3 years even for OEM.

I have a hadware modded (replaced with 128K ROM) radeon 7000 64MB card. I should have it on one of my old G3s. For 50$ + 5$(priority mail shipping?)
Sorry I don't need one like that. A 16mb PCI ATI Rage would be fine for my needs.

ISO, Gain Factor, Sensitivity, blah, blah, blah.
Whatever word/phrase one uses, it would still need to be defined.
Or one could put the cam on auto ISO and put a piece of electrical tape over the ISO button :)
Clearly ISO (a measure of film sensitivity), although conceptually similar, is a bit of a misnomer when it comes to digital. Wouldn't a more appropriate term be something like "Gain Factor"?
I would think this would be an easier concept to grasp for newcomers to DSLRs, especially when trying to understand the trade-off between gain and noise.
How can you tell I'm bored today... :)

Who does the translation? Do the developers have to get that done? So what does the localization service provide exactly? Sounds like a lot of work!

What kind of movie would you be watching where it would be useful to be hands free? :p
Nice dude. Made me laugh....
They couldn't have designed their own clips? It looks like someone just modded a hat with some supplies from Staples. It's functional I guess, but not very nice looking. And you would think that the magnifying glass so close to your eyes would cause some vision damage with prolonged use.

Unless they change the power supply the only thing really to update is either the price or the capacity.
I thought they had fixed the capacitor problem. The first batch (1 year+) was dying, but have they continued to die for newer models?
ive had, the original 512gb die at 14months, a 2Tb die at 8 months, and another "2nd gen" 1Tb die at 14 months.
the only thing they "fixed" was a firmware update that keeps the HDD spun down as much as possible to minimise heat build up and turns the internal useless fan on low almost all the time, the components in my original TM and the new TM are identical apart from the upgrade double antenna WIFI and bigger HDD.
apple will ignore a design fault if they can "patch around it" and potentially fix it if they can be bothered to way down the line

Current iOS on Verizon does not support video airplay
It does have audio airplay however.
