We have done FP thrice and they took finger prints of tips (the top 1/3 ) of th fingers. They did not took finger prints of whole hand. But for us they took finger prints of both left and right hand fingers.

i feel down recently and i scraped my hand on the concrete, and i am worried about finger printing which i have soon. My palm is scratched mostly and smy fingers on my left hand are also scratched, most of my right hand is okay but there are some scratches too.
Do they take prints of the whole hand or just the index finger?

Since you have started your GC process and shown your intent to immigrate your F1 will be denied.
H1 is a dual intent visa ( you enter as non immigrant but U can immigrate on it) and hence application of GC has no implication on it.
Again I am not a lawyer so consult one.

USCIS denied my and my family's 485 based on withdrawl of old pending 140.
How did you come to know about your denial. Did they send a denial notice after you applied for EAD. Was there any status change on the USCIS website after your 140 was revoked by employer.

Yes you would need a transit visa. In fact in Air India (not sure about other airlines) without transit visa you cannot even board the plane from US

I HAVE H1 APPROVED TILL 04/10 BUT I ENTERED USA USING AP THIS YEAR SO MY UNDERSTANDING IS THAT I AM ON EAD NOW WITH SPONSORING EMPLOYER. I AM ASLO DOING PARTIME JOB IN OTHER FIELD ON EAD SINCE 01/08. NOW IF I GET FULL TIME JOB WITH OTHER EMPLOYER (other field)AND IF I WORK LESS HOURS (means I get under pay than showed in labor) WITH SPONSORING EMPLOYER, WILL I BE IN TROUBLE? what about the july 07 fiasco filers..i know GC will only be given when visa numbers are available but atleast if 485 is approved we know we are half way thru...no matter the files will be licking the dust for years..gurus please share.

I-485 cannot be approved without a visa number. You will not know whether you are half way thru or not. But cheer up, the approval rate for EB AOS is more than 90%.

Quick survey to findout how many people like the idea of having their passports restamped here in USA and avoid all the surprises and shocks. This doesn't need any legal fixes. It is a convenient measure for everyone. Besides it was an old practice that was stopped for "security" reasons or some crapp. It is a small step but helps with any cases like family emergency or some urgent business need to travel abroad.
Based on the poll results and suggestions, we can comeup with a strategy to address the issue.
This is alreay part of the Admin fix and unfortunately its not moving forward.

My friend has H1 and working for company A. He transferred his H1 and started working for company B (Its been 4 weeks and he has 2 paystubs from company B).
He is sure that company A didn't revoked / cancelled his H1. Now he wants to move to company A (old one). Is this possible?
or does he need to re-transfer his H1 from copnay B to company A?
Please advise.

He/She can join old company as long as H1b from the old company is not revoked. There is no need for any H1b transfer as long as old company's H1b is valid. Just go and join them back if they are willing to take him. Lot of people of H1b do this. Hope this helps.

You will get a 3 year H1 with new company if you have an approved labor and approved I 140 with any company. Any company really means any company. If you have worked or not, have an H1 or not, etc. etc - nothing matters.
To get a 3 year H1, you need an approved labor and 140 from SOME employer, whether its your past employer, your current employer or a future employer.

You can apply only after getting receipt number. I am also not filling EAD/AP right now because attorney is asking for $800/person to file EAD/AP. I'll file once I get receipt number.
