While I feel the same pain that you do, what I would like to state is:
H1 is an unique employment scenario. H1s are hired to fill in shortages and hence employers are under no obligation to consider H1s ahead of green card holders or US citizens.
Also any good company that you want to work for will consider all candidates based on their skills and not the visa status.
So the company that says only GC holders or USC may not be a good company to work for in the end.

I have PD of Dec 2005 and I140 approved in June 2006 from TSC. Filed 485 on July 3rd .checks not cashed yet neither received the Receipt notice. Called up and lady checked the system and my 485 app is not in the system. She told me to call around 20th to check the status. What are they cooking ? I am not sure.

My 140 was approved at TSC, sent 485 to Nebraska on June 22, they received on June 25. I called to check status yesterday, the lady said to wait. On asking if case will be transferred to TSC and if TSC will generate receipts, she said she doesn't know, but it may take at least 2-3 weeks to process receipts at Nebraska.
I just called national customer service center for my 485 receipts and the lady told that nebraska filers should still wait for 30 more days before they call for receipt updates...she said she was answering the same question since this morning and mentioned that it could still take atleast 30 days for nebraska center to register the applications...
when I asked her if she knew whether my case has been transferred to TSC already (since my 140 got approved from TSC), she said she wouldn't know that answer...her bottom line was to wait...
what a mess!!!!!
if any one has called the customer service today regarding the receipts, I would appreciate if you could please post the responses here.

Your check should be cleared by now, if you have given yours or check with Attorney.

However, please understand, we are asking for "fair" and "equitable" treatment for those who are already inside the country and devoted sufficient time of their life here. To me this means "justice." I can very well relate to your desperation and anger, but please don't react emotionally. The legal or technical fact remains that no-one guranteed us GC and truth of the matter is most of us said "No" when immigration officer asked " do you have plans to settle in State?" So their is no question of equitable treatment.
... it is possible that EB Indians are targeted by this administration. Infact in good times of this country we have done it a lot of favor instead of our home country. Now is the time to ask for "rights" for our contribution.. No Sir, I can't say thier is conspiracy as I know of none. As of us doing favor? ... is completly wrong, we all knew what and why we are coming here for. Had we had better choice we would have opted for that. Let's be honest to ourselves.

Equal opportunity Emp will call for either do not sponsor ANY VISA catagory for people present in US or NO VISA at all... BUT this guys is OK with VISA for Canadian but No Mexican.... forget about H1-B etc... OPT

How long you guys think it will take to get EAD and AP for June1st fillers..

Late last week, they've posted the dates as of June 15th. Unfortunately the dates have gone back like crazy (especially NSC).

Non-compete are notoriously hard to implement. Most of the courts don't want to prevent people from earning a livelihood. When Microsoft sued its ex-employee who joined Google, it was a rare exception when any company even bothered to sue for a non-compete.
The reason your employer is not willing to give you a copy of what you signed is that they fear you'll take it to an attorney and she/he will tell you it means nothing. Anyhow, non-compete is the last thing you need to worry about.
If they illegally withheld your pay for GC expenses, you can make things difficult for them. But in that case you should hire and attorney and she/he should write them a letter and ask for your money back. If you beg them for your money, they'll just laugh at you.
If it's possible in any way, part with good vibes, though that doesn't seem likely here. Good relationships are always worth the efforts, even with crooked ex-employers.

Congratulations, mine (485 and 765 for my husband) was received by TSC on July 24th but no receipt, no checks cashed nothing yet. It seems TSC is really slow in receipting the applications. My husband needs to travel abroad soon and we're anxiously waiting for the receipt...

When did u apply for your ead? i am in the same boat and have filed for paper based EAD. hope to get my fp notice soon.
I applied for my EAD and AP renewal on the second week of May 2008. Again, I am not sure if EAD or AP renewal triggered the FP notice. Good luck to you.

Problem was ours (EB2 & EB3) and we fought together until EB2&EB3 dates were retrogressed.Now the problem is only for EB3s so EB3s only have to come forward and work for ourselves. Thank you Sir...
No, you are twisting what I said. My point is, if you are not willing to help yourself, why do you expect people who are going to be current in a year or so to chip in? You can start helping yourself by becoming a regular donor to IV. That's $25 a month. Imagine 11,000 odd EB people becoming regular donors. Maybe, IV can then run a regular ad in major news network, explaining our plight.
