Hi All,
For the adjusment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident
in the office of the Immigration and Naturalization Service center, which one I should select ?. I live in virginina. Is it the one at Vermon?
Is there a link to determine which office to select?

I'm seeking second opinion for my situation.
My H1b visa has been extended for another 3yrs and my current stamped visa expires sept 2010. I work for a typical consulting company with a client at end and a vendor in the middle. I've a clean record and have been paid always for last 3yrs, without a single month gap.
I'm visiting India in June for marriage so I wanted to go for the stamping as well. I've a situation where I'm looking for a second opinion.
What would you do if you were in my situation:
1. Go for visa stamping alone immediately after landing in India before marriage. Marriage is about 8-9 days after I land there. And, my spouse can go for H4 visa alone after marriage once marriage certificate is ready.
2. Go for visa stamping after marriage with spouse as well. But I'll have only 7-8 business days based on the latest dates available after marriage.
3. Don't go for stamping as I can return with a valid visa and I-797. My spouse can go alone after.
I'm tending towards #2 just because if I do get stuck for some reason, I doubt they will process my application within 2-3 weeks without needing to alter the travel plan when I go with #1. So, either #1 or #2, if I've a situation in stamping then I doubt anything will get settled just in 2-3 weeks.
I want to go with my wife just because I'll have one less work to get done and we can plan her transition from existing job.
What will you do given same situation? Any risk that you see?

I graduated in MS (I'm on H4 currently) recently.My previous degree is from India (passed out BCOM in 1999). I dont have any IT experience.
I'm talking with couple of companies about getting a H1. What documents I need to show for H1 for USCIS? Do I need to show any experience to USCIS?

You need to have a job offer, a LCA for the job, educational evaluation, I-129 and copies of your passport/i94 and degree. A supporting letter from the employer is also needed. No experience letter is needed to apply for H1, but to get it stamped you may need it.

To where you sent your 485 package. I recommend to utilize services of Attorney - primarily because they attach their cover letter with their letterhead which could make some difference

I donot think that these people are directly responsible for creating the issue in the first place....It is a reactive response to the anti-immigrant postures of many candidates...Also people like are us are not eligible to donate to immigrantList...Only citizens or premanant residents can contribute to immigrantList.....

Hi All,
I need to travel urgently to India due to some family issue and my EAD is expiring in Aug 2010. I need to apply for my renewal before I fly out this Sunday since I will have to be in India for 30 days. Can I e file my application from here and send the supporting documentation by Saturday? If so, I want to make sure that if for some reason, I get a biometrics appt., while in India, how can I postpone it? and also there won't be any issues with my EAD renewal app since I will be India and My I 94 will change once I am back.

I think it should be OK!
-> i guess there is a provision to delay your FP if it arrives for any reason, any of your representative here can scan and let u see the contents , there will be a phone to call and postpone.
-> if you are C9 category ( 485 in EB category ) , you donot need i94 number , you need alien number.

He said that, at the same time, the US government has framed a policy for the companies to give preference to native Americans in employment.
Obama administration has taken up a practical approach in establishing relations with the countries while there were efforts in strengthening relations with India because of the "Brain Borrowing", he said.
Keur said there are 3 million Indians in the US who are contributing to its prosperity specially mentioning about the Andhraites who marked their presence in various fields in the US including IT.
Keur said the Hyderabad Consulate, the fourth in the country was established due to the growing trade and development in the state in the IT, biotechnology and pharma sectors."
