Even i'm in the similar situation..
Online status,CRIS email says AP approval notice mailed on Sep2nd,2009 (TSC), but still haven't received it on hand..
We never know this crazy CIS system...May be have to wait till 30days and call the customer service.:(

I have a question, this is about my mom's H1 B visa. Her H1B visa is about to expire in one month.(she had a maximum stay for 6 years). But my grandfather had applied for a greencard process for my mom through family based and we are 2 months away from getting the visa numbers. So Is there any way my mom can extend her H1B. She is currently working as a teacher. (There are lot of options for people who applied for Greencard process through employment, but I don't see any for family based greencard process). Any help would be really appreciated.

i think u need not get a new h1 stamp and can sill come in and out on AP without compromising yr h1 status.

Thanks Guys, I called Delhi customer support. They said not to over-write but just to go to the counter and explain the mistake to the consulate officer. Apparently even they cannot edit those fields.

I'm a July 2007 Filer, EB-3, German national. My I-485 Received Date is August 1 2007, TSC. Priority Date 7/16/2004. I called and spoke to IO at TSC and she said my case was probably still pending because my Biometrics "is not showing".
My Biometrics was done 11/5/2007 and my copy contains Biometrics Processing Stamp for 11/05/2007 (which she asked if it did). After checking on it, she said that the Fingerprints had "been done and checked". (Does this mean FBI check??). Then she said my Photo Id wasn't showing. Asked her if this was a problem, she said no, it doesn't matter yet since nothing has been approved and it won't matter till approval. When I sought clarification from her as to whether these items were holding up my application, since she seemed to indicate in the beginning that it did; she said no, everything that's needed is there and my case is just pending.
Does anyone have any insight into this???
I mean, it seemed to be a problem initially and there were a lot of uncertain sounds from her followed by being put on hold for minutes at a time while she went to check something. Sounds to me like there was some info/procedural stuff missing which was holding up my app. and she might have corrected some of it in the system or something????
Any ideas or knowledge on the process would be much-appreciated.
(I do intend to call again in the next two consecutive days or so and hope to be able to speak to different IO's to see if I get different info/responses).

You could also take an InfoPass appointment and talk to an Immigration Officer face to face to get more clarity on your case.

On May 01,2009 my wife's I-485 status changed online that they requested additinal evidence. I have not received RFE letter as of now and also I am touch base with my attorney, my attorney's office also not received RFE letter. Please advice me what steps I have to take in this regard.

I had a conference call with the leading law firm.
He confirmed that, as long as the first two numbers falls under the same category/domain, the job changes is good for AC21. The sub-categorical numbers do not matter.

From my attorney and my understanding, say u have h1 and u started using ead.. later on u still have the unexpired h1b and u wanted to go back to h1 from ead, then all u do is go out of the country and go for visa stamping using ur h1 approval notice. Then you wil enter the country in h1b with a new i94 at POE. Then u are all set...
Say ur visa stamp in ur passport hasn't expired, then they said you could do an amendment or some change in ur h1b and get it approved. this iwll come iwht a new I94 and u wil hten b in h1b...Otherwise, u go out of the country and enter back showing h1b approval and get a new I94 at POE that will say h1b...

we live in an apartment and our landlord does not give permission to install antenna, neither do we get any dish tv (indian channel) signal due to trees around the complex. i recently heard about dish iptv where they connect a wire to your internet modem and you can watch desi channels on the tv. does anyone have this service and what has been your experience with it?they have a contract and i want to know if it really works before buying the services. thanks a lot.

I am trying to file by I-485 paperwork and the only roadblock is the birth certificate. I called the Pakistani embassy and they said they would issue me with a letter stating my name, DOB, father and mothers name. Can someone for the love of god let me know if this will be acceptable to the dept of homeland security ?
This is the last hurdle I have to pass before I can file my I-485 so I would appreciate any feedback. You lot have a good weekend and thanks for all your efforts.

Extract from Agreement: If the employee terminates the agreement prior to the minimum period of 18 months, the employee will pay company liquidated charges of 4000 USD.
2.Can New Jersy laws applicable in India to send a legal notice to me?
3. Since I have not travelled to USA on H1B, Can I be called an Employee of that company who processed my H1B.
4. Can I take any legal action against him as he did not send me to USA despite the fact that I renewed the Bank Guarantee twice.
Pls answer the above 3 questions.

an infopass. The CIS official has a lot of information as to what is happening with the file. They can tell if someone is working on the file.
If infopass does not work, go via senator and ombudsman.
